Charitable donations: Every little bit counts

(NC)-Have you ever wondered how much is enough to really make a difference? When it comes to charitable donations, every little bit counts. And every little bit can mean as little as a few dollars a month.
It can cost as little as $2 to plant a tree in Canada, according to a recent TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (FEF) success story with Scouts Canada. If you’re interested in supporting environmental and wildlife projects in your community, FEF provides an easy option. The Foundation contributes 100 per cent of every dollar you donate to fund projects within the community where the donation was made. FEF allows donors to set up regular monthly contributions for as little as $2 per month and each local FEF chapter decides what environmental and wildlife projects to fund in your community. Just think, your $2 donation, when paired with others from your community and a share of an annual $1 million contribution from TD could help plant 12 trees in just one year. Established in 1990, the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (FEF) is a unique business-community partnership that allows TD Canada Trust customers and employees to work together to donate funds to community organizations dedicated to protecting Canada’s environment and wildlife.
